The incident occurred around 10 PM when several Innova cars from the CM’s convoy stopped at Shakti Fuels in Dosigaon, on the city’s outskirts, to refuel. Shockingly, the vehicles began stalling shortly after moving ahead, forcing security personnel to push and park them on the roadside. Videos of the scene have since gone viral on social media.
Preliminary investigation found up to 10 liters of water mixed in every 20 liters of diesel dispensed at the pump. The petrol station has been sealed, and fuel samples have been sent for lab testing.
Officials are probing whether the contamination was due to rainwater seepage or human negligence. The matter is being treated with urgency due to the serious implications for VIP movement and public safety.
The Chief Minister continued his visit through alternate arrangements, while a high-level inquiry is underway.
