Jaipur, February 11
Nine persons, including three women, were killed while six others were injured when their jeep collided with a bus in Bhilwara district late on Monday night.
The accident occurred near Bigod town on the Kota highway.
The women killed in the accident have been identified as Kaushalya, Manisha, Kaushalya A. The deceased men are Trilok, Pradeep, Parth, Rajendra, Deepak and Naeem, according to the Bigod Police Station SHO Jaswant Singh.
The injured were rushed to the Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara.
The victims belong to Santhara village in Mandsore district in Madhya Pradesh.
In a tweet, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed grief over the mishap and directed the authorities to provide medical care to the injured.
