-Three persons lost their lives and six were injured when an oxygen cylinder exploded while it was being refilled in Chinhat area of Lucknow on Wednesday. Two of the injured were admitted to Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital while four are at the KGMU trauma centre. PTI

-5 Covid patients die at Roorkee hospital

Five Covid patients, including a woman, died at a private hospital in Roorkee in Haridwar district allegedly due to disruption in oxygen supply for around 30 minutes between 1.30 and 2 am. One patient was on ventilator support while four were on oxygen beds. A probe has been ordered. PTI

Thirteen deaths at K’taka hospital

-Thirteen patients, aged between 40-85, died at a government hospital near here in a span of 24 hours. Their relatives alleged shortage of oxygen, a charge denied by officials. The Chengalpattu District Collector, who reviewed the situation, denied that the deaths were due to oxygen shortage. PTI
