RT-PCR tests make up 89 per cent of all tests in the state.

Chandigarh saw average daily cases surging from 49 on March 1 to 111 on March 15, and positivity rate from 3.5 per cent to 7.4 per cent. Only 40 per cent tests in Chandigarh are RT-PCR.

Good signs are that despite the surge, the overall national positivity rate is below 5 per cent, active cases are 2.05 per cent and case fatality rate is still below 2 per cent.
