Leader of Opposition in the Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari’s trip to Delhi has given rise to speculation that the BJP-led Centre is gearing up to create fresh trouble for the Mamata government.

On Thursday, Adhikari first met Home Minister Amit Shah and then went to the residence of Solicitor General Tushar Mehta. According to unconfirmed reports, Adhikari met the PM also last night. BJP state unit chief Dilip Ghosh, on asked about the reason behind Adhikari’s Delhi visit, said he had no idea why he went to the Capital. — TNS
