w Delhi: Congress veteran Anand Sharma on Monday said the party’s alliance with the ISF in Bengal was against the core Nehruvian ideology and needed to be discussed in the Congress Working Committee. WB Cong chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, “No decision in the Congress is taken unilaterally. I am incharge of a state unit and don’t take decisions on such crucial issues. We have struck seat deal with Left in WB. Left is talking to ISF not Cong.” tns

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
