National Security Adviser Ajit Doval on Wednesday met Secretary of the Russian Security Council Nikolai Patrushev and discussed plans for further cooperation in the sphere of security. They also touched upon a number of regional problems.

“Special attention was paid to cooperation on various information security issues,” said a Russian read-out of the meeting. Earlier, in his opening remarks at the Delhi meet, Patrushev extended support to and underlined the need for the format to meet regularly. Doval also met Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani. — TNS
