New Delhi: E-commerce major Amazon India on Monday said its fleet of delivery vehicles in the country will include 10,000 EVs by 2025. Amazon’s rival Flipkart had in June last year said it aimed to replace 40 per cent of its delivery vans with electric vehicles (EVs) by March this year. The Walmart-owned company has deployed EVs in cities like Delhi, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. PTI

Groom-to-be prints pro-CAA slogan on cards

Sikar: To spread awareness about Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government’s “correct decisions”, a bridegroom-to-be in Rajasthan’s Sikar district has printed a slogan expressing his support for the contentious CAA and NRC on his wedding invitation. Amit Khandelwal (27), whose wedding is scheduled for February 9, said 700 invitation cards had been printed with the slogan, “We support NRC & CAA” and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan logo. PTI

T-25, tiger that raised orphan cubs, dies

Jaipur: A 15-year-old male tiger, which famously raised two orphan cubs, has died in a suspected territorial fight in Ranthambore Tiger Reserve of Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur district, forest officials said on Monday. The carcass of T-25 was found in Sanwata area of the tiger reserve on Monday. The postmortem has been conducted, a forest official said. Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said it was sad to know about the death of the tiger. PTI
