New Delhi: Army Chief General MM Naravane on Sunday held extensive talks with Commander of Royal Saudi Land Forces Gen Fahd Bin Abdullah Mohammed Al-Mutir as he began a two-day rare visit to the Gulf country to lay the ground for deeper military ties. The Chief of Army Staff arrived in Riyadh after concluding his visit to the UAE. It is the first-ever visit by a head of the Indian Army to the two strategically important Gulf countries. Saudi Arabia, the world’s biggest oil exporter, is a key country for India in the Gulf. — PTI
