‘Attack’ on Arnab, two arrested
Mumbai, April 23
The Mumbai police have arrested two men for allegedly trying to throw black paint on television news anchor Arnab Goswami in the wee hours today.
According to the police, Pratik Kumar Shamsunder Mishra and Arun Dilip Borade, who were on a motorcycle, intercepted Arnab’s car when he was on his way home from work shortly after midnight. Arnab was accompanied by his wife Samyabrata Ray. After the journalist, who was at the wheel, did not roll down the window, the duo splashed some black paint on the vehicle.
Arnab’s security personnel, who were in another vehicle, caught Mishra and Borade and handed them over to the police. Republic TV said both of them were Congress workers. — TNS
