The BJP today demanded a “white paper” from Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party government regarding issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic in Delhi, besides questioning if the number of deaths had been “fudged” to keep down the official tally.

BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra accused Kejriwal of “hiding the real figures”. He said civic bodies in Delhi issued 34,750 death certificates for April and May, whereas the official Covid tally was 13,201. The number of death certificates issued during the corresponding period last year was 9,916.
