Violent clashes erupted between activists of the ruling BJP and the CPM in Tripura on Wednesday after a BJP man was attacked during a CPM’s rally in Udaipur, Gomati.

Later, BJP activists attacked the rally. According to sources, CPM offices in Agartala, Bishalgarh and Kathalia were vandalised. — PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
