The ruling BJP today registered a big win in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation (GMC) and two other civic bodies. Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed the victory a result of bond people of the state have with the party and party’s national president JP Nadda lauded the efforts of the local leadership.

In one his posts, Modi said, “Results of the local body polls across Gujarat and Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation reaffirm the deep-rooted bond between the people of Gujarat and BJP. Gratitude to the people for repeatedly blessing us. Kudos to all @BJP4Gujarat karyakartas for working hard at the grassroots.”

Congratulating Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel and party workers for winning the local body elections in the state, Nadda in a tweet said, “The victory shows public faith in the leadership of Modi ji and people-friendly policies of his government.”
