Their focus will on the venues where the Congress and Samajwadi Party are trying hard to make a dent in the Dalit votes.

The party is keeing a close watch on the BJP membersship drive which was started on Friday by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the first day of his two-day visit to Uttar Pradesh.

The BSP has decided to contest all 403 Assembly seats in the state on its own. The  elections will be held in February-March, 2022.

The notification for the elections by the Election Commission is expected any time after December 15.

BSP sources said the schedule for the proposed rallies is being finalised by party units in the districts.

The rallies are being planned after completion of the BSP’s conventions of the Brahmin community as part of its efforts towards social engineering at several places in Uttar Pradesh.

Also, the party is in the process of appointing incharge for each of the assembly seats. So far, more than 130 incharges have been appointed.
