The government on Friday decided to hold the Budget Session of Parliament from January 31 to April 8 subject to exigencies of business.

A communication to the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha Secretariats said President Ram Nath Kovind would address both Houses on January 31. The Economic Survey will be tabled the same day.

The Union Budget will be presented at 11 am on February 1. The date and time of presentation of the Budget were conveyed to the President, who has agreed to it.

The first part of the session would conclude on February 11. After a month-long recess, the part two of the session would begin on March 14 to enable the department-related House committees to consider the demands for grants. —
