Waze associate Kazi suspended

Assistant Police Inspector Riyaz Kazi, a colleague of police officer Sachin Waze, was suspended from service on Monday, a day after he was arrested by the NIA in the Ambani security scare case.

Waze, an Assistant Police Inspector, is under investigation by the NIA in the case of an explosive-laden SUV found outside India’s top businessman Mukesh Ambani’s residence in south Mumbai.

Officials in the CBI said the action against Deshmukh was necessitated after his two aides Sanjeev Palande and Kundan recorded their statements before the agency on Sunday.
