Rajasthan reported 4 deaths and 149 fresh cases of coronavirus on Monday, taking the fatalities to 198 and case tally to 8,980 in the state.

Jaipur, under 9 police stations, would be opened partially as five markets were allowed to open this forenoon. 

Two patients succumbed to the deadly virus in Jaipur, and one each in Baran and Bikaner, a medical bulletin said here.

Out of 8,980 patients, 6,040 patients have recovered and 5,325 have returned home after testing negative twice. Jaipur alone has reported 2,015 confirmed cases of which 93 have succumbed to the illness since March first week.

After relaxation in Lockdown 5.0, Jaipur now has only 23 containment zones under six police stations with a curfew and other restrictions. In the Ramganj hotspot in Jaipur, a curfew and round the clock police patrolling has been imposed since the last 71 days. Now it only has 28 COVID patients who are convalescing. Four main markets of Jauhri Bazaar, Kishan Pole, Bapu Bazar, Chaura Rasta opened this forenoon. 

The ‘Red Zone, Orange, Green Zone’ classification has been stopped after better recovery of patients. Containment area conditions would prevail according to the new guidelines and the lockdown would prevail till June 30 in the state. 

In today’s tally of 149 cases, Bharatpur reported 44 cases, Jaipur 32, Baran 27, Pali 21, Kota 10, Jhalawr 5, Jhunjhunu 4, Sirohi 3, Dausa 2, and Tonk 1. Most of them are migrants who landed there from neighbouring states of UP, MP, Gujarat and Mumbai. Since May 1, 2,543 migrants are being treated in the government-run hospitals. 

The breakup of the death toll is as follows: Jaipur (93), Jodhpur (19), Kota (16), Ajmer (8) Nagaur (8), Pali (7), Sikar (5), Bharatpur (4), Chittorgarh (4), Bikaner (4) Sirohi (3), Karauli (3), Alwar (2), Jalore (2), Banswara (2), Bhilwara (2), Churu (1), Rajsamand (1), Udaipur (1), Pratapgarh (1), Sawaimadhopur (1), Jhunjhunu (1), Dauasa (1), Baran (1) and Tonk (1), 8 death of patients hailing from the neighbouring state also included in the toll.
