Pak returnee docs get chance to practise

New Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has issued a public notice inviting applications from minorities who have migrated to India from Pakistan to practise medicine in India. The notice will apply to persecuted minorities from Pakistan who entered India on or before December 31, 2014, in line with the Citizenship Amendment Act. TNS

Manipur tense, data services suspended

Imphal: The situation in Manipur remained tense on Sunday after mobile Internet services were suspended across the state and prohibitory orders imposed in some areas. The move came in the wake of an “economic blockade” on two national highways called by an influential student body over more autonomy for hill districts, officials said.
