New Delhi: The Centre on Monday attributed deaths of over 60 children in Uttar Pradesh’s Firozabad to dengue saying some children had also been infected with scrub typhus and leptospirosis. The Health Ministry has posted two emergency intelligence services officers in the district for 14 days. TNS

New Delhi: Indian Navy task group warships INS Shivalik and INS Kadmatt on Monday commenced the fourth edition of Naval exercise with Australia. The five-day drill has been named ‘Ausindex’. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
