Showing a sense of urgency during the prevailing lockdown, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has settled a total of about 14 lakh claims which involve disbursal of about Rs 4,685 crore. This includes 7.40 lakh Covid claims under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana (PMGKY) package accounting for disbursal of about Rs 2,368 crore. “The EPFO is committed to serve its members during this difficult situation and its offices are functional to help them during these testing times,” said the Union Labour Ministry.
