New Delhi, October 12

Former Higher Education and Information and Broadcasting Secretary Amit Khare was on Tuesday appointed adviser to the Prime Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office for a period of two years.

An order of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet said, “The ACC has approved the appointment of Amit Khare as adviser to the Prime Minister in the PMO in the rank and scale of Secretary to the Government of India, on contract basis, as per other usual terms and conditions as are applicable in the case of reemployed officers of secretary level.”
