A replica of the Golden Temple was unveiled on Friday on the occasion of Gurpurb of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak, at Dubai Expo 2020 at the India Pavilion.

Vikramjit Singh Sahney, International President of World Punjabi Organisation who is also the Member of the Steering Committee of India Pavillion, said the model was unveiled by Indian Ambassador Pawan Kapoor where  Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai, Surender Singh Khandari, President Guru Nanak Durbar, and Surjit Singh, President WPO-Abu Dhabi and other dignitaries were also present.

Sahney said that the installation of the model of Golden Temple at Dubai Expo will spread the message of Guru Nanak of universal brotherhood, peaceful co-existence, and tolerance to lakhs of visitors who visit Dubai Expo every day.

He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Commerce Minister  Piyush Goyal for installation of the model of Golden Temple in India Pavilion.
