Chandigarh: The Haryana Government on Tuesday announced 28% dearness allowance (DA) for over 2.85 lakh pensioners with effect from July 1, 2021. Earlier, the DA was announced for employees and there was no mention of the pensioners. TNS

Asthana appointed Delhi Police Commissioner

New Delhi: The government on Tuesday appointed Gujarat cadre IPS officer and BSF Director General Rakesh Asthana as Delhi Police Commissioner. He was due to retire in three days. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
