Taking note of this, the High Court today directed that the state government need not pay the honorarium to Justice Chellur, who was Chief Justice of the Calcutta High Court from August 2014 to August 2016.

A Bench observed, “We have received a communication from Justice Chellur stating that she is not inclined to receive the honorarium. We accept the request.” — TNS
