Rocky will long be missed by the Beed police of Maharashtra. After all, the intelligent canine colleague, who breathed his last on Sunday, helped the police personnel crack as many as 365 cases.

Pained by the demise, the Beed police gave a warm sendoff to their trusted companion. He passed away around 4 pm after  a prolonged illness.

“Rocky had set a high standard of bravery and intelligence. He helped us crack such cases when we were left clueless and thought it was the dead-end,” said a police official.

He was trained to assist police and other law-enforcement agencies in operations such as searching drugs and explosives, finding evidence, and locating people, said another official.

“Rocky had helped us solve 365 cases. It’s a loss the police family can’t easily make up for,” Beed Police tweeted along with pictures of Rocky.
