New Delhi: An FIR has been registered on the complaint of JNU Associate Professor Sharad Baviskar after he was allegedly abducted by a group of people for several hours and subjected to physical assault, threats and extortion following a traffic altercation. Baviskar filed the police complaint on June 18. PTI

ESI scheme to cover entire India by yr-end

New Delhi: The Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) will implement the ESI Scheme in the entire country by the end of this year. In its meeting on Sunday, chaired by Union Labour Minister Bhupender Yadav, the ESIC also decided to set up 23 new 100-bedded hospitals across the country, including four in Haryana at Hisar, Sonepat, Ambala and Rohtak. Unesco honour for using ICT in schools

New Delhi: The use of information and communications technology (ICT) under PM e-Vidya has got Unesco’s recognition with NCERT constituent Central Institute of Educational Technology winning the King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the use of ICT in education for 2021. The award recognises innovative approaches in leveraging new technologies.
