Chandigarh, February 2
Thanks to Vistara, comedian Kunal Kamra has finally taken off. The YouTuber was grounded by four domestic Indian flights following an incident of “heckling”.
After a video of the comedian “heckling” Republic TV anchor Arnab Goswami on IndiGo flight went viral, Kamra’s flying rights were suspended.
On Sunday, The YouTuber took to Twitter to share a photo of him from the airport.
Despite IndiGo, Air India, Spice Jet and GoAir suspending him, Vistara and Air Asia refused to ban Kamra from flying without proper inquiry into the matter as per the country’s aviation laws.
Kamra posted a photo of himself at the airport. He wrote: “My airport look all thanks to Vistara following due process”.
Meanwhile, the comedian has sent a legal notice to IndiGo demanding an unconditional apology, revocation of the ban and Rs 25 lakh compensation.
In the notice sent to the airline on Friday, Kamra’s lawyer stated that his client has suffered “mental pain and agony” due to “illegal, arbitrary and high-handed decision” of the airline.
