Maharashtra’s Minister for Public Works Department Ashok Chavan has tested positive for Covid. Chavan had been quarantined at home in his constituency Nanded for the past few days after his driver tested positive for the virus, according to party sources.

After tests conducted on the former CM came positive, he decided to shift to Mumbai for treatment. “I am absolutely fine. Will return to Nanded soon,” he told reporters in his hometown before boarding a cardiac ambulance for Mumbai. Sources said Chavan is presently asymptomatic. — TNS
