Malicious vax SMS in circulation: CERT-In

New Delhi: the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has alerted that a fake Covid-19 vaccine registration SMS is in circulation that “maliciously” gains entry into a users’ Android phone leading to compromise of individual’s contact list. Some of its identified variants are: Covid19.apk; Vaci_Regis.apk; MyVaccin_v2.apk; Cov-Regis.apk and Vccin-Apply.apk., it added. — TNS
