A property dispute in a family took the turn for worse in Visakhapatnam area of Andhra Pradesh as a man hammered his 40-year-old son to death in a fit of rage.

Employed as a seaman in Mumbai, the victim, G Jalaraju, had come home only a week ago.

A father to a son and three daughters, the accused, G Veeraraju, who has been arrested, was having a property dispute with his children.

Captured on CCTV, the incident occurred on Wednesday as the father-son duo had an argument over the property and an agitated Veerarju clubbed Jalaraju to death at their house in Satyanagar.

In the video footage, the accused is purportedly seen walking calmly behind Jalaraju and picking up a hammer as the victim sits on the floor. The next moment the accused is seen telling the victim something before mercilessly hammering him to death.
