Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh Police on Wednesday arrested a Maoist leader identified as Hari, Galikonda area committee member of the Maoist party. Galikonda is located in the Araku valley in Andhra Pradesh. The police said Hari was an important leader and was involved in over 50 cases. He carried an Rs 4 lakh reward on his head. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
