The government today cautioned people at large to remain alert against cyber treat and beware of frauds in the name of Covid, as malwares in the name of coronavirus are in circulation. The Ministry of Home Affairs stated, “Such apps/links, if opened, may steal confidential data from your phone/computer.”

“Some cyber fraudsters are circulating a malware link about a so-called coronavisus app like Spymax, Corona Live 1.1 etc, which, when opened, steals confidential data from the receiver’s phone or computer. Cyber criminals are also taking advantage of rising coronavirus concern for collecting charity, it added. — TNS
