Jammu: Three members of a nomad family, including a couple, were buried alive along with their cattle following a mudslide in the remote Shadol area of Reasi district, sources said on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed for traffic after heavy rains triggered a massive landslide in the Dalwas area of Ramban district. — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
