The Karnataka HC has issued notices to former CM BS Yediyurappa and others, including his son BY Vijayendra, who is BJP state unit vice-president, to appear before it on August 17 in a case alleging corruption in a housing project.

The notices were issued on a petition by activist TJ Abraham seeking quashing of an order dismissing his petition. — PTI

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
