Amid the ongoing COVID surge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday urged the saints to keep the ongoing Kumbh symbolic from here on and strengthen the fight against the disease.

The PM spoke to Avdheshanand Giri, chief of the Juna Akhara and appealed for the curtailment of Kumbh.

“Spoke to Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Avdheshanand Giri ji. Enquired about the health of the saints. The saints are cooperating in every way with the administration. I have requested the saints to keep Kumbh symbolic now on since two shahi snans have already concluded. This will strengthen the battle against COVID,” PM said two in tweets today.
