Prof Roop Malik gets GD Birla award

New Delhi, March 19
The GD Birla award for scientific research for 2019 has been given to Prof Roop Mallik, department of biological science, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai, for his contribution in the area of biophysics.
Prof Roop Mallik has also been given an award money of Rs 5 lakh. This award is given to eminent Indian scientists below the age of 50 for their contribution to any branch of science.
The GD Birla Award for scientific research was instituted in 1991 by KK Birla Foundation with the objective of accord recognition to high calibre scientific research undertaken by Indian scientists living and working in India.
