New Delhi, June 23

Faced with multiple FIRs in several states over his alleged remarks on the efficacy of allopathy in Covid-19 treatment, yoga guru Ramdev on Wednesday moved the Supreme Court seeking clubbing of all the cases and a stay on criminal proceedings against him.

He also sought protection from coercive actions in FIRs lodged by Patna and Raipur branches of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) and transfer of FIRs to the national capital.

Ramdev had allegedly said, “Allopathy is a stupid science and medicines such as Remdesivir, Fabiflu and other drugs approved by the Drugs Controller General of India have failed to treat Covid-19 patients.”
