New Delhi: Student leaders from Jamia Millia Islamia, Jawaharlal Nehru University and Aligarh Muslim University on Thursday demanded reopening of college and university campuses, which have been shut for the past one and a half years due to the Covid pandemic. Mauritius ex-PM Covid ve, in AIIMS

New Delhi: Former Prime Minister of Mauritius Navinchandra Ramgoolam was admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre on Thursday for treatment of Covid, sources said. He was airlifted from Mauritius in the morning. “He has been admitted to the ICU,” a source said. TNS


BJP worker cremated after four months

New Delhi: The body of BJP worker Abhijit Sarkar, who was killed in the post-poll violence in Kolkata on May 2 allegedly by TMC supporters soon after the Assembly election results were announced, was cremated at a ghat near the residence of CM Mamata Banerjee in south Kolkata on Thursday. The police asked the BJP to change the route of the funeral procession, leading to altercation. TNS
