The weather department today forecast light rain in some parts of Punjab and Haryana, but also predicted that no cold wave conditions would prevail over north India during the next four to five days.

Very light or light rain or thundershowers will be experienced at isolated places in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on January 23, a bulletin said. These states will also experience dense fog from January 24 to January 26.Besides, some parts of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are likely to receive fairly widespread rain, snow or hail. — TNS
