A man died of COVID-19 in Bhilwara on Thursday night raising the death toll in Rajasthan to two.
The 60-year-old man, resident of Najariyawas, Raipur, Bhilwara, who had tested positive, died at the government hospital, an official said on Friday morning.
In a statement, the State Medical and Health Department said the man had a heart attack on March 6. Initially he ws treated in Swastik Hospital. He was later admitted to MG Government Hospital Bhilwara as suspect Covid patient and was in isolation ICU. His sample was taken on March 23. He was reported positive on March 25. He had hypertension and kidney problem.
As per Bhilwara health authorities, he died because of dysfunctional kidney and other complication.
On Thursday, Rajasthan reported first COVID-19 death of 73-year-old man Narayan Singh at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital in Bhilwara. However, the State Medical and Health Department attributed his death to prolonged coma condition due to ‘chronic kidney diseases, failure and brain stroke which he suffered since March 3, 2020.
As of now there are 43 positive cases of COVID and 3444 are suspected in Rajasthan. After one 45-year-old man who returned from Dubai to Jaipur via Delhi was found corona positive from the densely populated area in Ramganj in Jaipur’s walled city, the district administration clamped an indefinite curfew on Thursday night.
