Rhinos in national park fight it out, one dead

Lakhimpur: The carcass of a 6-year-old male rhinoceros was recovered from Sonaripur range of Dudhwa National Park on Tuesday. A panel of five veterinarians, including Dr Utkarsh Shukla from Lucknow Zoo, conducted the autopsy and confirmed that the single-horned rhino died after a fight. There were multiple injuries on its body, probably caused by another rhinoceros, which has been indicated by the presence of foot marks of a rhino nearby. IANS
