New Delhi: Conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and northeastern states during the next 48 hours, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday. A low pressure area had formed in the Bay of Bengal under the influence of the cyclonic circulation over the same region. Due to the low pressure, widespread rain is likely over Odisha, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during June 9-10 and over central India during June 11-13. TNS
