New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Wednesday revoked last week’s resolution on suspension of seven Congress MPs who stood barred from House proceedings for the rest of the session due to their unruly behaviour. The suspension of Gaurav Gogoi, TN Prathapan, Dean Kuriakose, Rajmohan Unnithan, Manick Tagore, Benny Behnan and Gurjit Singh Aujla was revoked after the government moved a resolution in the LS and the House adopted it with a voice vote. The revocation effort was led by Speaker Om Birla, who had recused himself from the House proceedings last week, saying he was pained at the goings-on.
