Taiwan has provided one million face masks to India to help protect its frontline medical personnel.

The masks were brought to India by a special chartered flight and handed over by Ambassador Chung-Kwang Tien of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Center to Neel Kamal Singh, Deputy Secretary-General of Indian Red Cross Society, on May 8, according to a Taiwan Centre news release.

Taiwan has so far sent 25.5 million face masks and other medical supplies to several countries.
