Hyderabad: After a tiger in a zoo in the US tested positive for Covid, a farmer in Telangana came out with an idea to save his goats. K Venkateshwara Rao of the Peruvancha village in Khammam district tied masks on his goats’ muzzles to protect them from possible human to animal transmission. Rao said he acted after reading in newspapers about a tiger in New York contracting the deadly virus. Rao said his goats were the only source of income for his family and hence he decided to take precautions by making masks for them. IANS
2 held for dressing as doctor to find drugs
Lucknow: Two youths in doctor’s outfit were arrested by the Lucknow police on Friday when they came out of their houses in search of drugs. The police recovered 11 gm of smack from their possession. When stopped at a checkpoint, they claimed to have been on duty for Covid patients but caught as they appeared drugged. IANS
