Lucknow: Jail inmates in UP jails are now being initiated into a new lifestyle to guard them against Covid. The jail authorities have started yoga classes and are preparing ayurvedic ‘kadha’ (concoction) to boost the immunity of the prisoners. It has been initiated at the Kaushambhi district jail, which has over 750 inmates. IANS

Migrant walking from Maha to MP gives birth

Barwani (MP): A 30-year-old woman travelling from Maharashtra to her native village in Satna in Madhya Pradesh amid the lockdown delivered a baby, said a police official in Barwani on Sunday. The woman, identified as Shakuntala, and the infant were doing fine, said Inspector VS Parihar of Sendhwa police station here. “We found her at the Bijasan checkpost,” he said. PTI
