The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) today said it has arrested a Lucknow man with 2.7 kg of curated marijuana, which was sourced from the US. An NCB official said the marijuana was concealed in an air compressor and was to be collected by C Gidwani, who was nabbed on September 18.

The official said, “Gidwani, the consignee, made the payment through bitcoins and came in contact with the US-based consigner through the latter’s Instagram ID.” — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
