Lucknow: An FIR has been registered against Urdu poet Munawwar Rana for allegedly defending the recent killings in France, the police said. Rana had made the comments in an interview to a news channel after three persons were killed at a church in Nice last week. PTI

SC refuses to extend security of Babri judge

New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Monday refused to extend the security of former special judge SK Yadav, who had pronounced the verdict in the Babri demolition case. Yadav had on September 30 acquitted all 32 accused, including LK Advani, MM Joshi and Kalyan Singh. TNS
