The US Customs made an announcement for Indian passengers barring the transportation of cow dung in any shape or form.

The announcement was made after the leftover baggage of an Indian passenger was found to be containing cow dung cakes which were then destroyed by the US Customs.

US agents found two cow dung patties in a suitcase left behind after an Air India flight in April.

The US Customs has warned that cow dung is a prohibited item for transportation from India as it fears that they pose a risk of transmitting Foot and Mouth Disease from which the US has been free since 1929. TNS
