Several members of the US House of Representatives have come out in support of the agitating farmers.

Republican Congressman Doug LaMalfa said he stood in solidarity with Punjabi farmers protesting for their livelihood and protection from “misguided and manipulative government regulations”. They must be allowed to protest peacefully, he demanded.

Democratic Congressman Joshua Keck Harder wanted the Indian government to uphold the right to peaceful demonstration. — TNS
